Practical Nursing Theory II (Hyflex PN)
Course Information
This course builds on the student’s learning of the nursing process. The student will apply the nursing process at a novice level in all healthcare settings with clients with a wide range of health problems and functional disabilities. Through the application of the nursing process in care planning and evaluation, students understand the relationship between medical and nursing diagnoses, and assessment findings and nursing diagnoses. Students learn to incorporate evidence-informed decision-making and client and nurse safety in their plans. This course prepares the students for the nursing skills laboratories through learning the theory behind the skills.
