Integrated Business Solutions Capstone
Course Information
This capstone course is an interdisciplinary course in which students from business-related programs address a client challenge. Students apply foundational knowledge from marketing, accounting, human resources, operations, finance and sustainability, to analyze a business problem and develop an integrated, feasible, and sustainable solution. Working with a semi-fictional organization, individuals will assess the client’s internal operations and external environment, evaluate financial and human resource conditions, consider market and customer insights, integrate sustainability considerations, and propose data-informed recommendations. The course emphasizes personal accountability, professional communication, critical thinking, and systems-level decision-making in order to recognize the interconnectedness of a business’s components. The capstone culminates in a comprehensive business solution and formal presentation.
