Health Assessment II (Hyflex PN)
Course Information
This course introduces the student to the theoretical knowledge necessary to assess individuals’ physical, psychological, sociocultural and spiritual experiences across the lifespan. The student will use observation, interviewing, inspection, auscultation and palpation skills to collect data. The student will have an opportunity to demonstrate and practice the specific health assessment concepts and/or skills in a lab setting. The following theoretical beliefs and approaches to nursing practice are integrated throughout humanistic caring, reflective practice, therapeutic use of self, health promotion and adaptation.
