Foundations of Digitization
Course Information
This course introduces participants to the field of asset preservation through digitization. Through the course, participants receive an overview of this growing industry along with the career opportunities that it offers. Special considerations such as intellectual property, data security, non-disclosure, and protection of privacy are introduced. By the end of the course, participants will be familiar with the entire process form the point at which the assets for digitization are received through to their eventual disposal or return. Specific topics include receiving assets, preparing for digitization, scanning and capturing assets
