Course Information

This Foundation course in finance focuses on the major decisions made by the financial executive. Students will use a framework provided in the course to aid financial decision-making. The major focus of this course is short – term financial management. Content includes analysis of the financial environment and its components, introduction to valuation and the discounted cash flow valuation, interest rates, bond and stock valuation, risk return and the security market line, capital budgeting and investment decisions, cost of capital, cash and liquidity management, credit, and inventory management.
