Course Information

This course is intended to support student learning and retention by preparing students for the rigorous academic demands of the practical nursing program by enhancing study skills, test-taking abilities and critical thinking skills. It is also intended to prepare students for clinical placement by optimizing the sensitivity and caring required when interacting with individuals in the health care system. The following theoretical beliefs and approaches to nursing practice are integrated throughout humanistic caring, reflective practice and therapeutic use of self.
