Cultural Thanatology (formerly CL-CETH102)
Course Information
Students will explore how cultural patterns and beliefs influence global perspectives on illness, dying, death and grief. Students will learn about a variety of different cultures, religions, spiritual practices, and traditions relating to death, dying, ang grief, to develop respect for the diversity of cultural practices both locally and globally. Students will also explore the importance of cultural awareness and humility when providing care for the dying, dead and bereaved.
