Course Information

In today’s fast-paced digital landscape, effective online communication requires a distinct approach from traditional media. This course blends theory with hands-on application, immersing students in real-world content creation for digital media platforms. Through experiential learning, students will develop the skills to strategically plan, create, optimize and manage compelling, concise, and results-driven messaging while navigating platform constraints and audience expectations. Topics will embed sustainability considerations and include determining content purpose and function within organizational objectives, defining brand voice and tone, the strategic use of language for SEO, techniques for creating engaging, resonant content, and effective content management. Emphasizing inclusive and responsible communication that meets organizational objectives, the course encourages students to consider diverse perspectives and accessibility in their digital content. Students will also explore AI-driven tools for campaign optimization and their ethical use in content creation. Through hands-on learning, students will refine their ability to produce impactful messaging that drives engagement and achieves business objectives.
