Clinical Nursing Informatics (Hyflex PN)
Course Information
Clinical Nursing Informatics (CNI) is designed to guide Practical Nursing Students as they examine the core concepts related to Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) and how they can be used to promote and provide safe nursing care. Students will explore Health Information Systems (HIS), the Electronic Health Record (EHR) components, and other technology available in healthcare settings. Key concepts covered include the need for privacy, confidentiality, and security in collecting, using and disclosing personal health information, along with the importance of professional communication in patient care.
