Behavioural Addictions and Impulse Control Disorders

Course Information

In this course, students will study the aspects of impulsivity and compulsivity that are shared in various behavioural addictions and in disorders of impulse control. The course will discuss how understanding impulsive and compulsive behaviours supports implementing comprehensive assessment and treatment options. The course also introduces the various types of behavioural addictions such as gambling disorder, work addiction, and addictive sexual behaviour with evidence-based resources.
