Anatomy & Physiology II for RPN

Course Information

Anatomy and Physiology II continues the examination of the normal structure and function of the human body, building on foundational concepts introduced in Anatomy and Physiology I. This course explores the interrelated regulation and integration of major body systems including the lymphatic and immune, endocrine, nervous, gastrointestinal, urinary, reproductive, and homeostatic control mechanisms. Emphasis is placed on physiological balance, fluid and electrolyte regulation, acid-base equilibrium, and the coordination of body systems required to maintain internal stability. Knowledge of anatomy and physiology is applied to support clinical reasoning as nurses and prepare students for subsequent study in pathophysiology and pharmacology.
